Radio (Internet) and Cider (Hard)
you could tune in, or attend, or just say hi via electronic mail
Well well well.
You are still there! I am still here!
Speaking of here and there: On Friday, 5/26, I’ll play at(/on?) Carleton’s own KRLX, on a thing I am told is called “Live@,” pronounced “LĪV AT” (rhymes with “hive splat”). I am told you can actually be there, in the actual basement, which I can get down with, as they say. But! What might be more fun is for you to listen here on Friday at 5p.m. CDT.
That way, you can save your “being there” for the following day, 5/27. You might, say, come to Keepsake Cidery in Dundas at 4p.m. and stay until 7p.m., the times that correspond roughly to down beat and double bar, respectively. I will play ca. 18 original songs and ca. 4 covers, and this will take a total duration of ca. 23 minutes, and the rest of the ca. 157 minutes I will banter and stall. I think it will be fun to see such squirming, no? “Fun” in a not-entirely-nice (to me, at least) way.
A Great Many Things have transpired since last I beamed one of these out! Details available upon request, but don’t get too excited; what feels significant in one’s own brain-and-heart-places does not always translate.
Regardless, it’s really nice to be able to share things with you, plural, and I am looking forward to building more interesting messages for you in the very near future, built around Other Upcoming Things of Note, or Pretty Neat—Maybe—Ideas, or A Major Project Announcement (as in One Major Project versus A Project Written In The Key of Three Sharps, (yes I know f#m is also that, thanks for being thorough and also annoying. (Unless you meant is as a dad-joke type thing, which I can also get down with, as they say. (Or is this, itself, the dad-joke, nested here, self-aware?)))) <= maybe pretend they are smiles and not closed parentheses!
Until then—Hi! Bye! How are you? Not in that order!
A heartfelt ciao,
Andrea
PS I did a “subscribe now” button but you are already subscribed, presumably. So maybe you are supposed to send it to someone who is not subscribed? A message that goes, say, “hello there, would you like to meet for cider on Saturday? I got an invite to this thing.” Or: “crazy idea, we could listen in on Friday, together?” People like being invited to things, I am told, this current invitation perhaps notwithstanding, given its twists and turns. K bye for real!
Hi Andrea-- So after all that -- I missed the actual broadcast-- Would you happen to have an archived version-- I know that wasn't the point...
Best wishes to you and your family-
Brenda
